A new slate of officers has been proposed. HANK HARTSTEIN will run for vice-president; PETE MATARAS will run for membership; SANDRA BARKER will remain as treasurer; and GWEN MAGYAR will serve as president for a 3rd term.

DR. KAHN also gave his members brief today. Being in practice for 34 years, DR.
KAHN knows oral health and he explained the basics of brushing and flossing your teeth. Keep the plaque off of your teeth, and they will last your lifetime. He suggests a soft toothbrush, Colgate Total toothpaste, and flossing on a daily basis. He said in regards to dental health, Prevention works if you apply it, and it is my job to teach you prevention.

ART started working with his father at 12 years old, and now runs the business. Besides all of the office needs for coffee, BAILEYS delivers snacks such as popcorn and soups for break rooms. The business is a family affair, with ARTS wife, sister-in-laws, nieces, and his children all involved in the daily operation of BAILEYS COFFEE.

Obamacare is gradually changing the way health insurance works in this country. Harvey Baker Update

Harvey’s newest update
by Marcia Galloway Baker on Thursday, April 14, 2011 at 6:12pm Just wanted to give everyone an update on Harvey. They did the MRI’s this morning on his abdomen and brain. The abdomen came back negative, praise God. They thought he might of had Pancreatic Cancer. They are going to test the CA19-9 marker again to see if it’s still elevated. They are also going to do a follow up CT Scan in 2 weeks or 2 months (can’t remember which). The brain MRI came back that he had a stroke caused by a blood clot. Hard to believe he had a CT Scan on the brain when he was in ER and it came back negative and they ruled out stroke. The Nerosurgeon said this is a pecular case because there is no reason for it. They have run every test and cannot find a reason for it. They are doing one last Genetic Marker test (bone marrow test) by blood to see if it comes back negative. He said that they did find that the artery that runs in the back of his throat thru the spinal column is small. There are two; one is fine, the other is smaller. They are doing an MRI tonight with contrast to make sure the blood is flowing properly. He believes that this is an unrelated issue. He informed Harvey that the PE was a fatal condition and he was very lucky, but now that he is taking the blood thinning medicine they think he will be ok. They will also run a follow up MRI on the brain in 2 weeks. We are waiting for the rest of the test results. If they come back negative then hopefully he will be allowed to come home. Please keep him in your prayers. There’s nothing better than dropping God a note.

Harvey Baker update

Hello Members,

You may or may not be aware Harvey Baker is in the hospital. Yes, believe it or not, our healthy hunk of a man has had been dealing with a very trying experience.

Last Sunday afternoon, Harvey and his children left to run an errand together and while in route he started sweating, feeling sick to his stomach, dizzy and a number of other things. Within a couple of hours he was in the emergency room where doctors tried to figure out what was going on. Bottom line is the problem has been diagnosed and he is responding to treatment.

Let all take a moment to send good healing thoughts his way!

Harvey is in Florida Hospital Orlando located at Princeton and Rollins. His room number is 7830.

I told Marcia if Harvey didnt want to attend a Thursday meeting, he really didnt have to go to all this trouble!!
